TRIMMING SHAGGY

Spent 4 hours thinning and cleaning my kishu shimpaku today...it was a little over due as you can see.

From the back, you can see there isn't much light getting through.


The front side isn't much better..no birds flying through this. So I cleaned up the bark, thinned it real good (still needs more top thinning) and gave it a rinse. Here's what it looks like now.



It needs a serious wiring this winter, and will work on the left side branching. What do you think Jeff?
